About uHired
Less searching. Earlier applications.
Unfortunately Hired (uHired) checks public job boards every hour, organises fresh software openings by role, location, and stated experience, and publishes guides that help people turn a listing into an interview.
Why uHired exists
The name comes from an email most job seekers know by heart: “Unfortunately, we have decided to move forward with other candidates.” Anyone who has looked for a software job in India also knows the routine that comes before it. The same opening is re-posted on four boards under four different titles. A role labelled “fresher” asks for three years of experience halfway down the description. A promising posting is already buried under hundreds of applications by the time it turns up in a search.
uHired takes over the repetitive part of that routine — checking, de-duplicating, and sorting — so that the time you spend on a search goes into reading the right postings and preparing better applications.
What uHired does
- Checks public job boards every hour. Shared searches for each tracked role and location run against boards such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Google Jobs. One search serves everyone who follows the same role and city.
- Removes duplicate postings. Listings that share a source ID or application link, or the same employer, title, and location within seven days, are merged so each opportunity appears once.
- Records the facts that matter for a shortlist. Every card shows the employer, location, work mode, how long ago the opening appeared, the minimum experience the posting states, and the skills and tools it names. When a posting is silent about experience, the card says so instead of guessing.
- Publishes a market snapshot for every search. Role and location pages show how many openings appeared in the last 72 hours, how many employers posted them, how much experience they ask for, how many can be done remotely, and which skills are named most often.
- Compares postings with your resume. On public pages you can paste resume text and see the overlap with each posting’s named skills; the calculation runs in your browser. Signed-in users get a private 72-hour feed matched against their CV.
- Publishes practical guides. A guide for every tracked role and job search guides on resumes, interviews, offers, notice periods, and recruitment scams.
Who it is for
uHired is built for software professionals looking for work in India — Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, and nationwide — as well as Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates, and remote roles. It tracks nineteen roles: software engineering; backend, frontend, full stack, and mobile development; DevOps and cloud engineering; QA; data engineering, data science, data analysis, and BI development; machine learning, AI, generative AI, and computer vision engineering; embedded software; forward deployed engineering; and cybersecurity.
What uHired is not
uHired is not an employer, a recruitment agency, or a placement service, and it does not take part in any employer’s hiring decisions. It never charges candidates to apply for a job, and nobody from uHired will ask you for a registration, training, or “security deposit” fee on behalf of an employer. Match scores and market snapshots are organisational aids: they help you decide what to read first, and they do not predict whether you will be interviewed or hired.
How listings are handled
Every opening on uHired was first published by an employer or job board elsewhere. uHired stores the details needed to organise and de-duplicate it and links to the original posting rather than republishing its full description, so the employer’s own page remains the authoritative source for requirements, pay, and how to apply. Openings leave the public pages once they are more than 72 hours old, and a posting can close at the source before then — always confirm on the employer’s site before you apply or share personal details.
If a listing looks wrong, duplicated, or suspicious, please tell us. Our guide to spotting fake job offers explains the warning signs we look for.
Who is behind uHired
uHired is designed, built, and operated by Spex Labs. The same team writes and reviews the guides on this site; the editorial policy explains how they are researched, checked, and kept current, and how advertising is kept separate from editorial content. The methods behind the match scores and market snapshots are documented on How matching works.
